Description:DescriptionThe Bariatric Coordinator is responsible for the integration and coordination of all activities related to care of the patient experiencing a Bariatric procedure. This role is a resource person and provides guidance to other licensed as well as non-licensed personnel in delivering care and other service to the Bariatric patient. The North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, ages 20 through 50 years. Qualifications Position Qualifications : 1.Education : A. Graduate of a school of professional nursing. B. Formal Bariatric training. 2.Experience : A. Minimum five years previous RN experience required. B. Previous experience with Bariatrics. 3.Specific Requirements : A. Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse. B. Bachelors' Degree in Nursing preferred. C. Certified in CPR. D. Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. E. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and their office staff, employees and insurance providers. F. Working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. G. Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the development needs of the adult patient, and functions as a role model for others. H. Performs as facilitator, and knows responsibilities of other team members.
