Clinical Educator-Respiratory Care Practitioner

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) / Clinical Educator is a licensed professional who provides respiratory therapy services and clinical education in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Respiratory Care Practitioner / Clinical Educator collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care. Two years experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required. Previous Clinical Educator experience desired. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Licensed by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required. Current CPR recognition required. Must have the ability to cope with seriously ill patients of all age groups. Also have the ability to function well under multiple demands. An ability to instruct is desirable. An understanding of hospital function is necessary. Must have knowledge of or ability to assist with financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resources management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information, and problem solve. Must have the ability to accept responsibility, supervise work, and be able to represent the Medical Center with diplomacy when dealing with employees, peers, physicians, and patients in a fast paced environment. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Medical Center core values. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
