Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the plan of care for an assigned group of adult patients, including adult through geriatric. The Professional nurse (RN) is also expected to supervise other clinical staff and act as charge nurse as necessary. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications include:

Current Texas licensure as an RN.
Current CPR and ACLS certification
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
